The Historic Academy of Medicine was originally built in 1941 by the internationally renowned Architect, Mr. Philip Shutze.  Placed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is the perfect
setting to host a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception, an elegant corporate event or a festive fundraiser.

The facility can hold up to 300-guests and includes a theatre, a ballroom, a rotunda, several elegant smaller rooms and a beautifully manicured lawn facing West Peachtree Street.  Avenue Catering has produced many wonderful events at the Academy of Medicine.  We truly understand how the unique facets of the facility can be combined with the perfect menu to maximize you
and your guests experience at this special facility.

Located in the heart of Midtown on West Peachtree and 7th Street, The Academy of Medicine was originally built as the home of The Atlanta Medical College.  The facility is rich with southern charm and proudly displays the original chandelier used in Gone With The Wind.  The building and architecture is widely acknowledged as one the most elegant in Metro Atlanta.
