Avenue Executives
David S. Covell is the founder and principle owner of Avenue Catering Concepts. David is also CEO of the Saratoga Event Group, parent company to Avenue Catering Concepts, The Pavillion, The Chastain Horse Park Special Event Facility and Avenue K, Glatt Kosher Catering.
David has a background as a hospitality consultant and financial
professional. He attended Atlanta's Emory University and graduated from
Hofstra University's Business School in New York where he received a
degree in Public Accounting and a minor in Management. David pursued a
career in Public Accounting. He worked in New York City for the nation's
largest single office CPA and Consulting Firm.
After several years as a successful Tax Accountant and Consultant, David decided to concentrate on hospitality consulting as he worked for a prominent firm located in Midtown Manhattan. While there he assisted the firms Partners with restaurant clients including the Smith and Wollensky Steak Houses, City Café, Maloney and Porcelli, the perennial four star seafood restaurant, Le Bernadin, Brinker International, Brasserie LeCoze and others. He was involved in site acquisitions and build outs, financial consulting, menu advisory, hiring decisions and creative consulting.
David is on the board of several companies and is the co-owner of The Pavillion and CEO of
The Saratoga Event Group, a venue management and hospitality consulting
and event company that is active in both Atlanta and in New York City.
Additionally, David's family is a prominent and well respected
restaurant family in New York City. His family has or had an ownership
interest in the following restaurants:

The Stage Delicatessen and Bar (Opened in 1937) located on Seventh Avenue.

Sheryl Evertson is the founder and President of The Pavillion, which is a sister company to Avenue Catering Concepts, Inc. Sheryl graduated with honors from The University of Arizona. After graduating from College she worked on Capital Hill as an Aide for a well known United States Senator. She and her family later moved to Atlanta after her father, Colonel Bryce Evertson, retired from The Joint Chiefs of Staff under President Ronald Reagan.
Sheryl has over 30-years of catering and special events experience and she is considered a foremost expert in wedding and event planning. She has an extensive media portfolio and has been on TV and radio numerous times. She has been quoted in dozens or articles for both local and national publications. She is the original owner of The Pavillion, now in its 25th year as Atlanta's longest operating event private event facility. She is an active member in several local charities and fundraisers. She and her companies have received dozens of industry awards.

Steven has been with Avenue Catering since its inception in 2001. Prior to joining Avenue Catering he worked for The Peasant Restaurant Group under the ownership of Bob Amick. He is a talented, hard working and dedicated operations professional. He is responsible for training Avenue staff and supervises event logistics.
